Dear friends,
In continuation to my letters I want to put forth some ideas from the Biblical perspective in order that we understand the spirit of the age we live in. Why do things happen the way they do? You should know that from the deep joy and amazement in my heart, I see the exact wonders of G-d's words come to reality one by one.
First, if we turn to the Book of Deuteronomy and read the Song of Haazinu we can already understand from that time that Moses our father received the prophesy directly from the Holy One of Israel on what is expected to happen to the nation of Israel at the end of days. In Chapter 31, Moses says: "For I know that after my death you will surely act corruptly, and you will stray from the path that I have commanded you, and evil will befall you at the end of days, if you do what is evil in the eyes of G-d, to anger Him through your handiwork." (Verses 29-30).
In continuation, in Chapter 32 Moses says this song, the greatest testament the nation of Israel knew during this period. He explains that the Nation of Israel throughout the generations will make many mistakes and will anger G-d because they will try to adopt a foreign culture and strange gods. And G-d warned us that there are two ways to be: you can take Me in your heart or you can go off the path of G-d. But in any case, in the end I will always return to you. I will always have mercy on you. I will always love you. And so to this time as well. At the end of the song of Haazinu it is written: "Oh, nations, sing the praises of His people, for He will avenge the blood of His servants; He will bring retribution upon His foes, and He will appease His land and His people." (Verse 43).
We can glean from these words that these troubles are a result of going off the path and an inexplicable desire to copy the culture of materialism of the nations of the world. The desire is to find favor in the eyes of other nations, and to always be justified and always apologize. Our leaders feel a constant need to defend themselves and to apologize for Israel's need to defend itself. But the war is lost from the beginning. We are waiting for sympathy and understanding from two-faced governments only interested in power and their own selfish needs. But I want you all to understand very clearly: these governments are not interested in the truth. The do not care about justice. In our war against the worst terror organizations, they do not take the side against terror. They do not care that young children in Sderot, Ashkelon and the area surrounding Gaza live in constant daily fear from rockets that are continually being shot from Gaza in order to terrorize citizens. The leaders of the world do not care about the human rights of a captured soldier who for three years already has not been given even ONE human right from the rights that are entitled to a captured soldier. And the world remains quiet. The leaders of the world and the hypocritic herd that goes after them with closed eyes do not care that on the ships that came from Turkey to Israel (the Mavi Marmura is one of them) there were not peace activists, but hundreds of aggressive Muslims from a terror organization that meant to kill. The word peace is as far to them as east is to west. But the leaders of the world do not care. The truth disappears. The world leaders do not care that Islam wants not only to destroy Israel, but to control the entire world. According to Islam, the entire western world are sinners. But the majority of people in the west are only interested in one thing: that their cup of beer is full, that their yearly vacation will happen at the same time each year, and that no one will disturb the fake peace and emptiness that they live under each and every day.
Going back to the Bible, the prophets tell us that at the end of days the G-d of Israel will break down all of the fake securities of Israel. For example, the prophet Amos says in Chapter 3 in the book of Isaiah: "For behold, G-d Master of Legions, is removing from Jerusalem and from Judah support of men and support of women, every support of bread and every support of water; hero and man of war, judge, prophet, diviner and elder; captain of fifty, respected person, adviser, teacher of the wise and comprehender of mysteries. I shall make youngsters their leaders, and mockers will rule them." (Verses 1-3). This means that the G-d of Israel separates us from the rest of the world, and we see it very clearly today. He does this for some very important reasons, but the main goal is to introduce His holy name to the nations and to return Israel to the path of the Bible, to the path of holiness. Suddenly, the nation of Israel will find itself completely and utterly alone. Where is America, our "great friend"? Where is Germany, who has such a short memory? The truth is that these nations never were friends of Israel, but were only out to serve their own interests. I know that the truth is not easy to hear.
The G-d of Israel tells us about the huge army that will come against the Nation of Israel in Joel Chapter 1, Verses 5-6: "Awaken, you drunkards, and weep, and wail all you wine-drinkers, over the fine wine that has been eliminated from your mouths. For a nation has come up against My land, mighty and without number; its teeth are the teeth of a lion, and it has the molars of a lion cub." It then goes on in Chapter 2: "Blow the shofar in Zion and sound the trumpet on My holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble; for the day of G-d has come; it is near – a day of darkness and thick darkness, a day of cloud and mist, spreading over the mountains like the dawn – a numerous and mighty people; its like has not been from eternity, and after it there will never again be, until the years of generation after generation." (Verses 1- 2). This describes a huge nation that will come to fight against Israel. And now, who is this huge nation? It is all the armies of the nations that will come against Israel to destroy it. They are Gog and Magog, and Tugrama. Tugrama is modern day Turkey. Kush is modern day Libya. As well we can see huge armies from Europe, the army of Turkey, Persia (Iran), armies that have been led by Russia, and of course the Arab nations. Even the prophet Joel described this huge army as the biggest ever on earth. We see exactly the words of G-d coming to life before our eyes.
And here is the good news: the second reason why G-d separated Israel from the nations is to judge the nations for the evil and the cruelty they inflict during all the generations against the Nation of Israel. This sentence is difficult. The prophets describe this sentence as natural catastrophes like hurricanes, fires, earthquakes, terrible diseases (like swine flu) and we see that all over the world today the word of G-d is coming to life and actually happening. But dear friends this is only the beginning. The western hypocrites will pay dearly for their actions throughout history. And also those who sat by and were silent will pay a heavy price.
As for Israel - we will no t get out scot free from G-d's judgment. The G-d of Israel will choose the people that tried to guard his covenant, and did not go after the fashion of the time, those who cleaved their hearts the whole journey to G-d's love, His laws and His judgments. And when the leaders will finish the current leadership, we should not expect this kind of leader or another, from right or left, because all of them have something in common: they are all G-dless. The only leadership we can expect from today is the leadership of the G-d of Israel Himself.
For many years, we heard analysis that tried to explain the situation in the world with limited intellect. This is pathetic. Slowly we understand that all the intellectuals and the experts bring us to only one place: a bottomless pit. No analyst has a solution. There is only one solution: to go with the word of G-d, and to return to the covenant. Only this will bring peace. Then we, Israel and the true lovers of Israel, will all dance together with one heart and with great happiness, "for from Zion will the Torah come forth." (Isaiah, Chapter 2, Verse 3).
And here is what King David said thousands of years ago, in Psalms 126, Verses 1-3: "A song of ascents. When G-d will return the captivity of Zion, we will be like dreamers. Then our mouth will be filled with laughter and our tongue with glad song. Then will they declare among the nations: G-d has done greatly with us, we were gladdened."
Dear friends, the Nation of Israel does not need to justify themselves and apologize for wanting to defend themselves to anyone. Again I say to you: I am so proud of our army. I am so proud to be Jewish in these days. Thank G-d that he made me a Jew. And to you friends, as a Jew, I thank you and bless you for your honesty, your kindness and your unconditional love for Israel, especially now. May G-d bless you, and may we see miracles happen soon.
